PASTEL PAINTING ARTIST WINS WITH AN OIL PAINTING

It was my surprise to arrive at Singleton Art Prize Opening Night on Friday to find I had been awarded a Highly Commended award for my ‘over the top ‘ flower painting in oils called ‘Burst of Pink’ On asking the judge afterwards he said he really liked the movement in the painting. It’s quite large at 900mm x 45mm. I liked it because it had a slightly Oriental look.
