This Gallery shows a variety of ships from the Port of Newcastle These were painted over a period of time hence the different styles and mediums.
Ships in the harbour to me are very exciting as shapes colours and architectural forms .They embody the working harbour of Newcastle NSW . Ships can also have a romantic appeal as they come from far away places and have exotic names.
Oils on canvas and Soft pastels on prepared paper are the two mediums used .
