I have been totally absorbed in the countryside here in San Cresci and the surrounding villages of Greve and Montefioralle. The beautiful light that changes in the early morning with the hour to produce many magical moments. The rolling hills, the delicious food the wonderful friendly people, the history, it is so encompassing.

I could just continue to produce paintings every day, it is so inspiring. I would like to return and paint more en plain air in the Chianti Region.

Coming to La Macina in Chianti Toscana has been a fabulous experience.

San Cresci in Chianti and La Macina has found a place in our hearts with so many new experiences and opportunities to be creative we must return one day. Our hosts Mimma and Duccio, are dedicated to us having a wonderful experience and I would like to thank them sincerely for everything they offer and for including us in the family of La Macina di San Cresci. Thankyou and arrividerci …Until we meet again .

Montifioralle the 12th C.Village has been a facination for me and the views from the window have been a total inspiration.I have made a number of pictures from the studio door and some by painting en plein air.The light on the village buildings changes throughout the day and it is such a picture.Travelling has restricted my materials to working on prepared Fabriano paper and sanded pastel paper in mostly A3 size.
